AM I GOING TO FEEL COMFORTABLE?

  • That’s completely normal.

    Most women who come into the studio are nervous at first. You don’t need to arrive feeling confident, sexy, or comfortable in front of a camera.

    We take our time. I’ll guide you through the entire experience, from what to wear and how to pose to where to put your hands and how to move your body.

    You don’t have to “perform” for the camera. You just have to show up as yourself.

  • No.

    You do not need modelling experience, or any idea what to do with your hands.

    I direct you through the session from beginning to end. I’ll demonstrate poses, adjust positioning when needed, and guide your expressions and movement.

    Think of me as your photographer and personal posing coach.

  • You get to decide what you want photographed and how much you want to embrace or minimize.

    I use posing, lighting, angles, and direction intentionally to create beautiful images while respecting the things you may feel sensitive about.

    Professional retouching is also included where appropriate.

    Most importantly, there is no judgment here.

  • Absolutely not.

    You decide how much—or how little—you want to reveal.

    Lingerie, bodysuits, oversized shirts, robes, implied nude images, or fully clothed looks can all be part of your session.

    There is no required level of nudity.

  • You can change your mind at any point.

    If you don't like a pose, outfit, image, or idea, you can say so.

    Your boundaries are respected throughout your experience.

    Your comfort comes before the photograph.

AM I GOING TO LOOK GOOD?

  • You don't have to.

    There is no single “boudoir body.”

    Every woman has different proportions, curves, features, insecurities, and things she loves about herself.

    Posing, lighting, wardrobe, and camera angles are intentionally used to photograph your body in the most flattering way possible.

  • Yes.

    Boudoir is for women of all shapes, sizes, ages, and stages of life.

    You don't need to lose weight, change your body, or reach a certain size before your session.

  • You are not expected to hide them.

    We'll use posing, lighting, and angles intentionally, and professional retouching can be used on your selected photographs.

    If there are areas you're particularly self-conscious about, tell me.

    That information helps me photograph you with greater intention.

  • Yes—but the goal isn't to make you look like someone else.

    Professional retouching is used to polish the final image while maintaining the things that make you recognizable as yourself.

    Beautiful doesn't have to mean unrealistic.

  • Whatever makes you feel like yourself.

    Lingerie is beautiful, but it isn't your only option.

    Bodysuits, matching sets, robes, oversized shirts, sweaters, button-downs, jeans, heels, jewellery, and meaningful personal pieces can all work beautifully.

    We'll help you plan your wardrobe before your session so you don't have to figure it all out alone.

IS THIS ACTUALLY PRIVATE?

  • Not without your permission.

    Your images are not automatically used for marketing simply because you've booked a session.

    If you want your photographs kept completely private, that is respected.

  • Yes. Absolutely!

    Confidentiality is an important part of the Studio Revival experience.

    You should be able to step in front of the camera without worrying about where your intimate photographs will end up.

  • Yourself and Emilie (your photographer).

    Studio Revival is designed to provide a private and comfortable environment where you can relax and focus on your experience.

  • If having a trusted person with you would help you feel more comfortable, we welcome you to bring 1 guest during your session.

    Because boudoir is an intimate experience, we want to maintain a calm and focused environment.

WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENS?

  • We'll take time to settle in, review your wardrobe and session plan, and make sure you're comfortable.

    Then we'll ease into the photography.

    I'll guide you throughout the entire session.

  • No. Your session with us includes your photo shoot time only. We ask that you arrive to your session with your hair and makeup photo ready - either you can go to your favourite artist or do it yourself, before your session.

  • We'll help you determine what makes sense for your session.

    Generally, bringing 4-5 outfits allows us to create variety while still keeping your wardrobe intentional.

  • All of our sessions include a 60 minute photoshoot. Your session can conclude earlier or later depending on your comfortability and any additional time needed for outfit changes or breaks from posing.

    The goal is to give you enough time to relax, get comfortable, and create a variety of images without feeling rushed.

  • Your photographs will be professionally edited after your session and delivered according to the collection you've selected.

    Your final images will be ready for your viewing and ordering at your Image Reveal Session, which we schedule anytime between 1-2 after your photoshoot date.

  • Yes.

    Studio Revival offers options for turning your photographs into tangible artwork, including albums and other printed products.

    Your photographs don't have to live only on a hard drive.

WHAT AM I COMMITTING TO FINANCIALLY?

  • Once you've decided that Studio Revival is the right fit for you, we'll select your date and complete the booking process.

    Your date is officially reserved once the required retainer and booking details are completed.

  • Yes.

    A deposit of $100 CAD is required to reserve your session date.

    The remaining balance and payment schedule will be clearly outlined before you book.

  • Life happens.

    We kindly ask that you inform us by email 48hrs in advance of your scheduled session date. We will gladly apply your booking deposit to a new scheduled date and time for your photo session.

    There is never an expectation that you purchase something simply because you've had a session.

    Choose what is meaningful to you and what fits comfortably within your budget.
